Cheap patent windshield washer solutions cause biofilm slime growth in the reservoir and tubes. HOT water will denature the biofilm. I used some compressed air and fed it through the windshield washer line (disconnect the line from the assembly under the hood) to unclog the filter (you will hear bubbles once the debris is out of the pump/filter/line). To do this the right way, you need to pull out the tank, empty it, and clean it out. I also have the washer fluid low warning and have replaced the sensor but still get the message, although it has disappeared a couple of times. The original sensor was full of water and had corroded the fine wire on the magnetic switch, but a new sensor (Jaguar part) has not fixed it. ghkD.
